Dr. Achillefs Ntranos, MD

Founder and Medical Director,
Board-Certified Neurologist,
MS specialist

Knowing the person who has a disease is as important as knowing what sort of disease a person has.

Bio

Dr. Achillefs Ntranos was born in Athens, Greece, into a family of biologists who instilled in him a deep curiosity for the natural world. As a child, he was captivated by the idea of helping people heal, and his dream of becoming a doctor became a reality when he was accepted into the prestigious University of Athens Medical School. However, it was a personal experience that transformed his passion into a lifelong mission.

When his father was diagnosed with lung cancer, Dr. Ntranos witnessed firsthand the challenges faced by patients and their families. This pivotal experience fueled his dedication to providing compassionate, patient-centered care and informed his relentless pursuit of helping people get better.

After graduating from medical school, Dr. Ntranos journeyed to the United States to join the esteemed neuroimmunology and multiple sclerosis (MS) research team at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore. There, he worked on groundbreaking treatments and deepened his understanding of how MS medications work. As his expertise grew, so did his reputation, and he soon found himself at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York, completing his neurology residency and fellowship in MS and demyelinating diseases.

At Mount Sinai, Dr. Ntranos was nominated as Chief Resident and later appointed as an Assistant Professor of Neurology at the Icahn School of Medicine. In this role, he not only cared for patients with MS but also mentored future neurologists and led cutting-edge research in his own lab.

In 2022, Dr. Ntranos realized his vision of creating a patient-centric neurology clinic by founding a telehealth-focused private practice in Beverly Hills, California. With a mission to provide world-class, compassionate, and personalized care to patients with MS, demyelinating diseases, and other neurological conditions, Dr. Ntranos is committed to making a meaningful difference in the lives of those he serves. His unique combination of academic excellence, research expertise, and genuine empathy ensures that every patient receives the highest quality care on their journey to wellness.
